Understand the work first

What goes into your
client’s running costs?

Explain the costs behind the automation you’re proposing: active agent time, business tool calls, incoming triggers and work created through your 2IC. These examples show what uses your client’s workspace Credits.

1,000 Credits = $1 USD at the standard value
01 · AI worker active time

Your clients pay while their agents are actively working

Your client pays for the time an agent is actively running its Task. When you build in a staff review or approval, active-time charges pause with the agent. Their team can take the time it needs without adding to the agent’s running bill.

Say a client’s agent works for 3 mins, hands over to their team for approval, then works for 1 more min. That is 4 active mins and 80 Credits, whether the team approves it straight away or comes back tomorrow.

For each cloud sandbox, we add the working time before and after a pause, then round up to whole minutes. Separate sandboxes are counted separately.

20 Credits

per started active minute

02 · Business tool calls

Put your clients’ business data to work in their automations.

Build workflows around the information your clients already hold in inboxes, documents, customer records and team conversations. Tool calls let agents read and act on that information: checking an email, looking up a CRM record, preparing a document or updating the team. You can connect the process across the tools their business uses.

Your client’s agent reads an enquiry in Gmail, looks up the client in HubSpot and saves a follow-up document in Google Drive. Three tool calls that turn business data into useful work, 3 Credits in total.

Each request to read information or make a change in a connected app counts as one tool call. A Task can use several calls, including more than one to the same app.

1 Credit

per tool call

03 · Connected-tool triggers

Start workflows and Routines from everyday business events

Build automations that start when something happens in your client’s business. A supported event in a connected business tool can start a Routine: a client email starts enquiry handling, a new CRM lead starts follow-up, or a new file starts document review. The agents you assign can pick up the next steps from there.

A new enquiry arrives and starts your client’s follow-up Routine. That incoming event uses 10 Credits. Their workspace then covers the active minutes and tool calls needed to handle the enquiry.

Does your client need the Routine every morning instead? A scheduled start does not carry this incoming-event charge. Available triggers depend on the connected app.

10 Credits

per incoming trigger event

04 · 2IC creation in Sordit

Turn the plan into Routines, Jobs and Tasks

Talk through what your client needs in ChatGPT or Claude, with Sordit connected through MCP. Work out the steps together and review the proposal. When you give the go-ahead and your 2IC creates the Routine, Job or Task in Sordit, that is when this charge applies.

You and your 2IC plan a client follow-up Routine. You are happy with the proposal, so you approve it. Creating that Routine in Sordit uses 10 Credits.

The conversation and planning do not use Sordit Credits. This pays for creating the work in Sordit. Running it uses active agent minutes and any tool calls; reusing an existing Routine does not repeat its setup charge. Your ChatGPT or Claude plan is separate.

10 Credits

per successful 2IC creation

05 · Sordit storage

Keep client files where their team already works

If your client uses SharePoint, OneDrive, Google Drive or Dropbox, we recommend connecting that storage and keeping their files there. You can build around their existing folders and documents. For clients without cloud storage, Sordit provides a fallback place to keep the files their workflows need.

Need a little more room? Keeping 1 GiB above your client’s workspace allowance for a full month uses 100 Credits.

This rate is for files kept in Sordit. Your client’s cloud storage keeps its own pricing, and agent calls to that service still count as tool calls.

Know where your money goes

Sordit runs the work.
Your client chooses the AI provider.

Help your client connect an API key from OpenAI, Anthropic or OpenRouter. They pay that provider directly for model usage, while workspace Credits cover Sordit’s platform work. Match models to their Tasks and explain both parts of the running cost.

01

Choose the right model for the work

Match the model to your client’s needs and budget. Use deeper reasoning for demanding Tasks and lighter models for everyday work. Each provider sets its own model and token prices.

02

See what your agent used

Open a Task to see how long your agent worked, which tools it called and the token usage your AI provider reported. Use that detail to explain a client’s costs and refine the workflow.

03

Learn from each attempt

If a Task takes another attempt, you can look at each Run separately. See what happened, then refine the instructions or choose a different model for next time. Use that insight to improve the workflow and understand the cost of getting it done.

Example values adapted from the Sordit usage view. Token fields and reporting detail depend on the provider and model. Cached and reasoning counts can overlap other totals; do not add every row together.

Tokens are the units your AI provider uses to measure what a model reads and writes. When available, Sordit also shows cached input and reasoning usage. These figures help you understand the work; your provider’s billing remains the source for its actual charges.

Use three common business operations to show clients what a single automation could save. We’ve worked through the steps and starting assumptions. Adjust the workload together to compare staff time with the estimated Sordit and AI costs.

Let’s picture the work

Help your client stay on top of every enquiry.

An enquiry reaches your client’s Gmail inbox. The agent you’ve assigned reads it, looks up the client in HubSpot and opens the relevant brief in Google Drive. It saves a reply draft in Gmail, adds a follow-up note in HubSpot and notifies the team in Slack. The team reviews the draft and decides what to send.

How much work could you automate for this client?

10 enquiries / day

We start with 10 enquiries a day. Each email starts one Job to get a follow-up ready.

20 days / month

We use 20 working days. Include weekends if your client handles enquiries every day.

Get the follow-up ready

5 min / enquiry

We allow 5 active minutes to gather the context and draft a reply.

6 calls / enquiry

Six calls bring the enquiry and client history together, save a draft and notify the team.

  1. Read the enquiry in Gmail
  2. Look up the client in HubSpot
  3. Open the relevant brief in Google Drive
  4. Save a reply draft in Gmail
